The Somatic Trauma Integration Programme provides a comprehensive understanding of the impact Trauma has on our Brain, Nervous System, Psyche & Health. And teaches Potent Tools for Trauma Integration & Healing.
Our highly experiential curriculum explores the potent practices of Trauma Informed Yoga, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Interoception & Embodied Unwinding, & Somatic Self Regulation.
Providing you with the skills to stabilise in a potent self healing practice as well as the ability to support others, with practices that can be utilised in private or group facilitation settings.
Learning to detect the signs of nervous system dysregulation in your students/clients, & create safe, trauma sensitive, professional containers that offer grounded, informed tools for healing and transformation. ✨

About the Training
You will uncover how to:

✨ How Trauma Informed Yoga, Interoception, Somatic Experiencing & Internal Family Systems Practices offer healing potential to unresolved shock, physical and vicarious trauma
✨ Why befriending our bodies, listening to and honouring our sensations is integral for somatic trauma resolution
✨ The role the vagus nerve plays in healing our nervous systems & the practices that rebuild our resilience
✨ What Asana and Pranayama techniques can trigger or soothe different trauma responses
✨ Why we need to improve our self-awareness around our own past trauma history and triggers to effectively support others
✨ Why we need to develop strong boundaries and assertive communication to work with trauma
✨ How and why cultivating therapeutic presence is essential for creating safer spaces

Tina Nance
E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher Trainer
Tina Nance has been practicing yoga for over 25 years and teaching Yoga & Embodiment, Somatic Inquiry & Women’s Work around the globe since 2001. She is the founder of HELD: School of Embodied Self Integration & the somatic practices of Embodied Unwinding & Embodied Presencing.
HELD runs six 100hr Yoga Teacher Trainings — in Yoga Therapy, Yin Yoga, Nervous System Regulation, Somatic Trauma Integration, Embodied Mindfulness & Embodied Feminine Arts — alongside a 500hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training programme. Tina is a long-time resident teacher trainer at The Yoga Barn in Bali.
Over the last 6 years, emerging from her own recovery from shock trauma & nervous system dysfunction, Tina has passionately expanded into Somatic Trauma Integration practices including Nervous System Regulation & Vagal Toning, Somatic Experiencing, Trauma Informed Yoga, Yoga Nidra, & Internal Family Systems.

Jaya Hollohan
Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP)
Jaya Hollohan MA is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and has studied and worked in the field of energy and somatic therapies for 16 years. She is also an Adv BodyTalk Energy Therapy, Certified Yoga Teacher, Mindfulness Life Coach, Cranial Sacral & Reiki Practitioner, and a published author of “Who We Are When We Thrive: Remembering Happiness and Rediscovering Health.”
Jaya has studied Master Classes with Somatic Experiencing Founder Dr. Peter Levine, including ‘Eye of the Needle’ (Part 1 & 2), which provide techniques for integrating Near Death Experiences (NDEs), post-surgical trauma, and altered/anesthesia states. Her work addresses symptoms related to frequent dissociation, Global High Intensity Activation (GHIA), emotional/mood polarities, gut and sleep issues, and other trauma-related symptoms
Jaya has traveled the world for many years to uncover ways to come home to her own body and the truth of her own heart. She likes to incorporate movement and joy into her practice and trainings wherever possible.
Eva Joan Ritchie
E-RYT 200, TNYT RYT-500 ~ Yoga Therapy, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Vinyasa (Slow-Flow)
Eva’s introduction to the body-mind complex started when she took her first yoga class at age 15. She has been practicing ever since, exploring different styles of yoga and learning from wonderful teachers including Kristen Boddington, Simon Borg-Olivier, Bianca Machliss, Sarah Powers and Tina Nance.
Eva became certified with the School Of Sacred Arts in 2013 and completed all 3x 100hr modules of the TNYT Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Programme. She primarily teaches meridian based yoga therapy & yin yoga in weekly classes, workshops, retreats & teacher trainings.
Eva’s approach to life and healing stems from her belief that we are all made up of many layers — physical, emotional, mental and energetic — which all need to be communicating with each other harmoniously so that we can live conscious & healthy lives.
Simone Mackay
ERYT-500 & YACEP
Simone is a yoga nidra teacher certified with both I AM Yoga Nidra (Amrit Method), Total Yoga Nidra and trained in iRest. She is the founder of Somah Journeys & the School of Sacred Arts.
Simone combines yogic and mindfulness practices, somatic coaching, and nature-based wisdom teachings to empower others to tap into life’s deeper currents so they may realise their innate gifts and navigate life with more discernment, ease, and sense of belonging.
Rooted in 25+ years of holding space for deep transformation in yoga, somatic coaching, social and soul work, she takes a trauma-informed and compassion-centred approach providing thousands of students and clients deep release and peace.
