The Myth of the Straight Line
If our nervous system feels dysregulated ~ if cortisol is pulsing through our bodies ~ we are naturally concentrated on 3D survival. We become hyper-focused on the material, the immediate, and the threat.
In this state, slowing down enough to “feel” seems dangerous. So, we spiral away. We move toward the Healing Vortex (seeking comfort, light, or a “bliss bypass”) to avoid the Trauma Vortex (the contraction of pain).
But the ancient Celtic and Indigenous traditions held a deeper map. They understood the Triple Spiral as the fundamental pattern of consciousness.
They knew what we are remembering today: You cannot expand what hasn’t first contracted. The descent into the “underworld” of the body ~ the Winter, the gestation, the gathering of wisdom ~ is the prerequisite for the resurrection of Spring.
Trauma healing isn’t a straight line out of pain. It is a spiral through it.
"You cannot expand what has not first contracted."
From Contraction to Expansion
In this month’s deep dive, we are moving beyond surface level “positive thinking” and into the biological and spiritual reality of the Spiral.
We will explore how to stop fighting the natural rhythms of your nervous system ~ the inevitable cycles of Winter (contraction) and Summer (expansion) ~ so you can finally find your home in the center of the vortex.
Physiology of the Spiral
Understanding how your muscles, spine, and nervous system are wired for cyclical movement.
Trauma vs. Healing Vortex
How to navigate the pull of past trauma without getting stuck, accessing expansion without bypassing humanity.
Ancient Maps
Unlocking ancient technologies from Celtic & Indigenous lineages that used the spiral as a portal.
Safety in Sensation
Practical tools to help you tolerate the 'contraction' so you can hold more capacity for the 'expansion'.
Ending the War Within
Stop viewing symptoms as obstacles. Start seeing them as the necessary 'descent' before your rebirth.
