The Yoga Garden, Alcove, QC
*July 3~6, 2025*
Join Jaya for an incredible 4 days and 3 nights of Somatic embodiment practice to invite your body to ground, nervous system to unwind, and presence to emerge. This Retreat will provide you with a multitude of Somatic tools and wisdom to learn to let go of muscle bracing, chronic pain and trauma-related dis-ease, reconnect with your gut knowing, and find your way back into the subtly of being. The pristine Retreat setting will support us in grounding and releasing, while swimming in a quiet lake, walking on forested trails on 35 acres, bathing in the wood-fired sauna, and enjoying fresh-picked, healthy vegetarian/vegan food with sacred community.
There is so much going on in the world today. Give yourself the greatest possible gift you can: a deep nervous system reset, rest and somatic practices for embodied living, and deep presence.
Themes
- Discovering your Nervous System, the Vagus Nerve and how to reset
- Tracking thwarted fight, flight and freeze (FFF) responses through body sensations for integration
- Discharging engrained stress by grounding and regulating the Nervous System with somatic exercises
- Reconnecting with and trusting our intuition by strengthening interoception (gut sense)
- Accessing emotions through the body, e.g. fear, shame, anxiety, grief, healthy aggression
- Rediscovering our inner rhythm through movement for trauma resolution
- Cultivating ancestral resources to integrate Intergenerational trauma and enhance vitality
- Going beyond tension and pain by exploring expansion and contraction
- Seeing trauma-healing as a portal to connecting with the Self, and Spirituality as a resource for healing trauma
- Finding safety in the body, in order to go beyond it into embodied presence
- Demonstrating Somatic Experiencing sessions with various volunteers to illuminate live somatic healing
Please note this Retreat is not intended for personal therapy but aims to provide experiential education to empower you with somatic tools and practices to cultivate deeper safety and resources from within. Trauma survivors are very welcome; we ask that survivors of sexual abuse or rape, parent with addiction, family suicide or sudden death – have previously been in minimum of 6 months therapy. The well-being of yourself and the group is of utmost importance. We look forward to providing a safe and easeful container for all to unfold within!
